One of South Africa's favourite television programmes, 7de Laan is a wonderful addition to the Sasani Family. We have the all-important roll of providing all technical backup as well as facilitating the day to day running of the studios to ensure that the production meets technical standards and strict broadcast deadlines.
THE WILD
Shot on location near Heidelberg a new approach to traditional soap drama incorporating outdoor game farm setting. Sasani is the base camp to The Wild production, we supply fully serviced production offices including complex IT infrastructure and backup services for the smooth running of this production.
BIG BROTHER
As one of the most successful and one of the most popular Reality TV shows worldwide, there is no need to outline what the Big Brother show is all about. Sasani Studios has successfully and proudly facilitated this vast production for the last 5 years, broadcasting live both locally and to multiple African countries 24 hours, 7 days a week for a period of 91 days, as well as supply all the technical equipment, control rooms, crew and technical backup for the weekly live evictions shows. To facilitate the enormity of this production, a combined effort between SASANI STUDIOS, ENDEMOL and MNET was set up to ensure that audiences far and wide experience a wonderfully creative and technically sound world class production. Sasani is very proud of utilising our LIVE TO DRIVE 24/7 shared storage post-production systems. Recording live to a massive storage system enables Content Directors to immediately choose and log their footage creating their story lines before they enter the edit suites. The editors have immediate access to the Content Directors logs as they are choosing their footage and start editing each days content and submit completed programs on a daily basis for multiple broadcast streams. Our studios, technical abilities, experienced crew and world class facilities are the reason for us hosting this giant production on an on-going basis…why move from the best!
STER KINEKOR ENTERTAINMENT
Ster Kinekor and Sasani Studios have enjoyed a long standing relationship. We are proud be a supplier for one of the largest cinema and media entertainment companies in Africa. Sasani has the responsible task of quality control for incoming international masters, and mainly creating and designing DVD menus and final masters that are sent for replication and ultimate distribution into the rental and retail market on a large scale. Sasani supplies various services such as format standards conversions, HDCAM master encoding, post-production for Television commercials as well as electronic international content delivery to Sterkinekors international service providers.
TURN IT OUT
A locally produced and exciting new reality dance show, this programme is shot in Sasani's largest bookable Stage (Stage-5). This production utilises our fully equipped digital control room, 5 studio cameras including a jib. Judges mics and audience effect mics, radio comms, a server playback, audio final mix, vision control, as well as recording "LIVE TO DRIVE" and we have networked back up storage to safeguard content whilst in transit to the clients editing facilities if not utilising Sasani's professional post facilities.
LAUGH OUT LOUD
A locally produced Hilarious, side splitting comedy. Shot in Stage 2 with multiple cameras including jib and autocue with multiple radio mic set ups. Recording directly onto our state of the art tapeless system and utilising sever playback. This studio comfortably incorporates audience seating as well as a large infinity curve (Syce).
BONISANANI
Shot in the smallest of our studios takes nothing away from this dynamic programme. Studio-A is spacious enough to accommodate the 3 studio cameras required for shooting. 7 audio mics and autocue as well as full control room and crew. Studio-A also has an infinity curve (syce) Sasani has an on-going special offer for Studio-A that includes a GREEN SCREEN infinity curve as well as Chroma Key lighting, perfect for low budget music videos, commercials or news presenter type content.

NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC
Sasani Studios has been a preferred supplier to National Geographic "FOX International". We are proud to be associated with National Geographic for the last 4 years. On a monthly basis, we are responsible for re-versioning all visual material for international promos which includes the recording of local voice-over, final mix and delivering for broadcast.
GOSPEL GOLD
A long standing production, Sasani Studios is proud to be the technical support for this production. Stage 2 is utilised to its maximum with plenty of audience seating and a massive stage to accommodate the talented artists. Lighting and backline technical set-up is supplied by BLOND Productions in collaboration with Sasani Studios that supply a full digital control room with all cameras and technical equipment. Gospel Gold features individual artists, groups and choirs, recording live from studio to hard drive.
JARA and 53 EXTRA
Shot and edited in HD in Nigeria, these energetic magazine programmes are sent to Sasani Studios where we prepare the shows for HD and SD Broadcast delivery to the specifications of the broadcaster. HDCam being the preferred delivery format for the HD channels on DSTV.
TINSEL SEASON 4
Shot, produced and edited in Nigeria, this well loved drama is aired on DSTV every weekday on HD and SD channels. Sasani Studios prepares the HD file format onto HDCam for broadcast delivery as well as being responsible for complete audio post production.
eKasi!
Shot on location around Johannesburg, eKasi depicts stories of our times. Sasani Studios, in collaboration with e.tv, are pleased to be involved with the training and development of up-and-coming Directors, Editors and Production Crew. This initiative will ensure that new talent will enter the industry with the strong technical support and industry expertise. Offline and online takes place on the Sasani Studios site where Directors and Editors work together on multiple offline edit suites accessing shared storage. Our in house Online editor is responsible for colour grading and final Online before sending it to Final Mix for complete audio design. Once all the elements are finalised, broadcast copies are produced, quality checked and delivered to e.tv.
GA RE DUMELE
This well received Drama series was shot in Sasani Studio Stage 2 over 8 weeks. The production utilised our high-end control room and technical equipment. We also supplied a complete lighting compliment as well as recording LIVE TO DRIVE. The elaborate production, made up of various sets, filled Stage 2's complete floor space. Make-up rooms, Dressing rooms and Production Offices are attached to the studio providing a close and comfortable environment for efficiently managing the production.
JIKA MA JIKA
Rated the most popular local Dance Show of it's time on SABC, Sasani Studios played a key role in providing Studios, Crew, technical Equipment and high-end Control Rooms.
REDI (Talk Show)
Redi Thlabi studied Journalism and Communications at RAU and also holds an honours degree in English Literature from the University of Johannesburg. Redi landed her own Television Talk Show covering high profile subjects. The production was shot at Sasani Studios in Stage 3 and Stage 2 utilising all of our equipment and technical expertise.
GAUTENG MABONENG
Entirely shot in Stage 2, this 13 part Comedic Sitcom was recorded over 6 weeks using Sasani Studios tapeless recording system. Utilising 3 cameras, 2 booms and our digital control room, lighting and crew.
